- Conduct the ritual each day for 5 days at the same time of day following the steps below.

Daily Ritual Steps:
This is the daily structure of the ritual for the 5 liminal days in which the Neteru were born (also known as the 5 demon days in certain modern esoteric circles). Conduct the ritual each day at the time of day that is best for you. It will take about 15 minutes each day to perform the ritual.
- Cleanse and clear yourself.
- Cleanse and clear your sacred space.
- Dress your candle. (Details are below.)
- Light the appropriate color candle for the day.
- Burn Kapet or frankincense & myrrh. (See the recipe for Kapet below.)
- Ask yourself the INNER INQUIRY question for the day.
- Read the day's Scripture.
- Speak the prayer (use the one below or your own).
- Sit in silent meditation (3–5 minutes).
- Journal the reflection question.
- Perform one embodied act during the day.
- Close with this decree: “The divine power is born in me even as it comes forth into the world. I am one with the Neteru.”
- Embody your ritual practice for the day by taking the step provided.
Note: be sure to practice candle and fire safety throughout this ritual.
Your Kemetic Magickal Apothecary

Remember, you do not have to buy everything on this list. That is not required. Build your magickal apothecary over time, with intentionality. Learn the botanicals of ancient Kemet through study, ritual practice and engaging with the botanicals yourself.

Making Your Own Sacred Kapet
Kapet (Greek: kyphi) - meaning incense/fumigation, or that which is burned. This is an ancient incense formulated by priests and priestesses and was highly prized and would have been burned in temples at sunset, during blessings, for healings and other ritual, spiritual and energetic purposes.
For purposes of this ritual, you can make it yourself, although it is not required for the ritual itself. It is optional, yet potent and ancient for magick and healing, which is why I’ve included it here if you’d like to undertake creating it yourself (which I would say is well worth it).
When the Greeks encountered and experienced this incense, they highly prized it also.
The most famous description comes from Plutarch, who called it a sacred incense that "gladdens the soul," calms the mind, promotes peaceful sleep, and prepares one for communion with the gods.
Dioscorides (1st century CE) – In De Materia Medica, he recorded a recipe for kyphi and described it as a valuable medicinal and aromatic preparation, reflecting its high regard in Greek pharmacology.
Dioscorides presents kyphi primarily as a medicinal and aromatic preparation, noting its use for the lungs, liver, digestion, and as a sacred fumigation. His account demonstrates that the Egyptian temple incense had become well known and respected in the Greco-Roman world.
Galen (2nd century CE) – In De Antidotis, he preserved another kyphi recipe, praised its medicinal virtues, and recommended it for ailments of the lungs, liver, and as a sacred fumigation.
These are attestations to the healing power, ritual efficacy and potency of this sacred incense.
You can make kapet for yourself, your household, your family and/or clients, if desired, with the following recipe. Though there are multiple historical recipes, this particular recipe from the Temple of Edfu is best known.
